On November 19th, 2021, the third joint management committee of joint programs cooperated by Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (DUFE) and Ulster University(UU) was held successfully via vide.

 

In the meeting, Prof. Fang delivered a welcome speech and gave a report to the joint management committee on the achievement of the joint programs. He expressed his faithful gratitude to the UU for its contribution to the joint programs during 18 years on behalf of DUFE. He fully affirmed the achievements of the joint programs between the two universities over the past year. He hoped that UU could continuously concern about the high-quality development of our joint programs.

 

Paul Bartholomew, President of Ulster University, delivered a report to the joint management committee. He introduced Ulster’s growth and innovation over the last year . Greater Belfast Development project is nearing completion. The prestigious medical school in Magee campus has welcomed its first cohort of students in this September. Ulster has been involved in the design, fabrication, and production of innovative Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as well as the research on the impact of the pandemic on mental health

 

Prof. Tao Meng, Executive Dean of International Business School(IBC), DUFE, and Mark Durkin, Executive Dean of Business School(BS) ,UU, respectively reported to the joint management committee on the conclusion of the previous Academic Advisory Board(AAB) meeting including  teaching arrangement, quality control and program management. Associate Prof. Wei Geng, Vice Dean of IBC made a report on the recruitment of students in this year while Mrs. Danielle Mcwall, Head of Department of (Accounting, Finance and Economics)AFE,BS made a report on the operation of the programs.

 

Mr. Shuo Tao, Deputy Director, International Cooperation Office as a member of JMC, Prof. Jackie McCoy, Associate Dean, BS, Ms. Catriona McCarthy ,Director of Global Engagement, UU also attended the meeting.
