IBC 2017 Job Seeking Camp Successfully End

Career Development-Employment Guidance-Workplace Soft Skills-IBC 2017 Job Seeking Camp Successfully End

In order to improve the job-seeking skills of students in the International Business College (IBC), help them understand the development trend and work status of accounting and financial industry, and establish a correct career development concept and enhance the competitiveness of job seeking, in early April IBC launched the “IBC 2017 Job Seeking Camp”. The camp was directed for junior students who were about to participate in the autumn recruitment, and attracted the participation of many other undergraduates and postgraduate students.

The camp included four-time training, themed by “campus recruitment success tips”, “financial industry employment analysis”, “your resume talks” and “how to become an interview-conqueror”. Mr. Lu Zhengrong, Director of Human Resources of Prosperity Investment, Mr. Guo Xiaobo, Senior Assistant Commissioner of Agricultural Bank of China, Mr. Wang Qi, Assistant Director of a Domestic Bank and Ms. Ma Yan and Ms. Chen Fei, Director of Human Resources of a Foreign Enterprise, shared their experience and offered very wonderful guidance.

Compared to the previous career development seminars, this has the following five characteristics.

First, abundant experience of well-known senior managers. Senior HR trainers have many years of recruitment experience, bringing the most real workplace information, thus avoid students “choose the wrong path”.

Second, a comprehensive command of job-seeking skills. Participating in the training of the entire camp enable the students to have an all-around command of job-seeking skills from mental state to resume design and interview passing.

Third, fine and easy-to-operate courses. To ensure the effectiveness of training, the training camp has been set a maximum number of 15, easy to operate and practice, so each student can really appreciate the pleasure of harvest.

Fourth, friendly and natural form. Different from the traditional lecture, discussion is done among students sitting around the lecturer; the atmosphere is relaxed and natural, and the participants are intimate, not binding.

Five, tracking and guiding of job-seeking. The students who participated in the training camp were given a certificate issued by IBC and will be instructed by lecturers in IBC in the future job-seeking.

According to the feedback from the students, this small-scale intimate interactive form of training is highly spoken of by the students. In the future, the IBC Career Development Center will continue to hold professional development activities focusing on and catering to the actual needs.
