On September 4th, 2019, a delegation from Ulster University (UU), leading by Prof. Paul Bartholomew, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) of UU, UK paid a visit to International Business College (IBC), Dongbei University of Finance & Economics (DUFE).

On the day of their visit, the delegation had a meeting with administration of IBC and attended the Academic Board Meeting and the 1st Joint Management Committee. Both sides had a discussion on new cooperation in regard to teaching arrangements, policy support, teaching input and Quality Assurance etc.

On September 5th, the delegation had a meeting with Ulster program students. The meeting was hosted by Prof. Meng Tao, Executive Dean of IBC. Prof. Paul Bartholomew, Prof. Mark Durkin, Executive Dean of Ulster University Business School, Ms. Mei Meng, Vice Dean, Surrey International institution, delivered speeches during the meeting. The representatives of alumni and current students wished the program a good future. At the end of the meeting, the delegation answered the students’ questions and welcomed the students to go to Ulster University. Ms. Lei Sun, the Party Secretary, IBC, Mr. Shuo Tao, Deputy Director, International Cooperation Office, Associate Prof, Wei Geng, Vice Dean, IBC, also attended the meeting.

During the visit, the delegation of UU met with Prof. Wei Lv, President of DUFE and paid a short visit to Global Institute of Management and Economics and DUFE History Museum.

The joint programs in Finance and Accounting between DUFE and UU were launched in 2003. At present, the program has admitted more than 300 students, with over 200 alumni.
