On April 13, 2021, the program extension application of the cooperative program offered by Dongbei University of Finance & Economics (DUFE) and Curtin University (CURTIN), Australia has been approved by Mnistry of Education (MoE) according to the officail notice (No. [2021]457). Accodring to the approval document that the original validity of enrollment has been changed from 2012-2020 (one enrollment each year) to 2021-2025 (one enrollment each year). The validity of the approval certificate of the progam has been changed from December 31st, 2024 to December 31st, 2029.

The DUFE–CURTIN program, established in 2002, has been accredited by the Accreditation Organization for Sino-Foreign Cooperation in Education of China Education Association for International Exchange in 2015 and passed the MoE Evaluation of Sino-foreign Cooperation in running schools in 2016. In November 2020, DUFE and Curtin renewed the Agreement and continued to have cooperative program in Accounting. The successful approval of the extension of the project reflects the full recognition of the MoE for the work of Sino foreign cooperation in running schools. At the same time, it will further promote the implementation of the internationalization strategy and the improvement of the international education level of our university.

Up to now, the program has recruited nearly 600 students and more than 400 graduates. Most of the graduates study in famous Australian universities, such as National University, University of Melbourne, University of Sydney, etc. Most of the employed students are concentrated in accounting, banking and tax departments, such as PwC, Deloitte, KPMG, Ernst & young and other four accounting firms, as well as state-owned, commercial and foreign banks.
