WHAT KINDS OF QUALIFICATIONS DO WE NEED?
Talents of Excellency
Following the Decision by the DUFE Party Committee (Released by the DUFE Party Committee [2015] No.20), the new International Business College (IBC) was established by restructuring the School of International Business and the Global Institute of Management and Economics in April 2015. The goal of IBC is to become an entity with the functions of both teaching and scientific research, which offers a high-level platform that attracts excellent overseas talents. It also offers a multi-level base and pilot field for fostering international talents, a production base of high-level scientific research results, an important base for promoting the overall internationalization of the university, and an implementation unit for new and high-level cooperative projects conducted with overseas institutes of higher education and research.
To achieve this goal, IBC has been working to develop subjects from scratch. It has opened three majors so far, which are Accounting, Finance and Business Data Analysis, and a new major of Supply Chain Management will be open soon. IBC is focusing on establishing the two mainstream subjects of Management and Economy, with high-level and internationalized characteristics. At the same time, IBC plans to build a high-level talented team of about 30 members in about 5 years in order to improve its international competitiveness.

Requirements | 1. Renowned international scholars with outstanding capacity in academic research and capability in leading team members to a top global level 2. Domestic applicants shall have obtained senior professional titles, while overseas applicants shall have obtained professorate tenure position in overseas institutes of higher education or scientific research. 3.Applicants shall also satisfy one of the following requirements: 1)Selected in the 2nd level of “10,000 Talents Program” (urgently needed leading talents for national technology and industry.development); 2)Distinguished professor from Chang Jiang Scholars Program and1000 Talents Program, not including 1,000 Youth talents Program; 3) 58 years old or younger. |

Requirements | 1. Famous international scholars with high-level research achievements; and capability in leading team members to high international level. Having one of the following titles: 1)Academic leader of key national-level subjects; 2) Young or middle-aged expert with prominent contributions to the country; 3)Winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars; 4) Selected in “New Century BaiQianWan Talents Program”; Or potential in getting selected into national high-level talent programs like the 2nd level of “10,000 Talents Program”, “1,000 Talents Program”, Distinguished professor of the Chang Jiang Scholars Program and so on; 2. Adjunct professors shall be renowned scholars with a tenure position in overseas universities. For specific recruitment requirements, please refer to the requirements for “DUFE Academic Leaders”. The benefits shall be determined after mutual negotiation.
Visiting professors shall be renowned scholars with a tenure position in overseas universities, whose main duty is conducting academic exchanges and cooperation with DUFE. Short-term Program of Innovative Talents (including non-Chinese overseas talents) | 1. Have obtained a doctor’s degree overseas; 55 years old or younger; 2. Professor or equal to professorship in famous overseas universities and scientific research institutes; Or other high-level innovative talent urgently needed by China; 3. Have world-class research competency; Have published academic articles in core international journals during the last five years, or have won an important international technology award with significant experimental skills or crucial techniques for science projects; 4. leading talents, academic or technological leaders urgently needed for national technology and industry development, subject construction and other fields in short supply of talents; 5. Have stable employment relationships in China with specific working targets and tasks to make substantial contributions ; 6. The current contract is at least three successive years, and working time per year in China is no less than two months. The ownership of the IPR produced during the term of the contract shall be specified; 7. The applicants can submit their application twice accumulatively. |
Foreign Experts Program | 1. Non-Chinese overseas expert; 65 years old or younger; 2. Satisfy one of the following requirements: 1) Professor or equal to professorship in famous overseas universities and scientific research institutes; 2) Work as technical professional and managerial professional in a senior position of a world famous enterprise or financial institution; 3) Own proprietary intellectual property rights or master core technology, have self-employed experience overseas, be familiar in relevant industries and international rules; 4) Other high-level innovative entrepreneurial talents urgently needed by China; 3. Have no full-time job in China now; Or has been working in China no more than 1 year; 4. The expected contract will be no less than 3 years, and the expected working time per year is no less than nine months; 5. The applicants can submit their application twice accumulatively. |
Youth Program | 1. Work in the areas of natural science or engineering technology; 40 years old or younger; 2. Have obtained a doctor’s degree; Have overseas work experience in scientific research for more than 3 successive years, which refers to full-time overseas work experience after obtaining a doctor’s degree, excluding working overseas while serving for domestic employer with salary; 3. Have worked in an official position of teaching or scientific research in a famous overseas universities ,scientific research institutes, or an R&D organization of a noted enterprise before returning to China; 4. Have no full-time job in China now; Or has been working in China no more than 1 year. 5. The expected full time contract will be no less than 3 years; 6. Famous scholars with the potential of becoming academic or technological leader of this area; Fresh graduates with a doctor’s degree can also be considered, if they have produced outstanding research results or made other prominent achievements during their school years. |

Distinguished Professor | 1. Due on Jan. 1st in the year of application, the age of applicants for positions of Natural Sciences and Engineering Technologies shall be no more than 45, while for Humanities and Social Sciences no more than 55; 2. Have obtained a doctor’s degree; Overseas applicants shall have the position of associate professor or higher or other comparable positions in high-level overseas universities, while domestic applicants shall have the position of professor or other similar positions; 3. Competent in teaching tasks of core courses; Have crucial achievements in scientific research recognized by international peers; Have an innovative and strategic thinking method, with capability in leading a team to the top global level; Be able to solve the difficulties with relatively strong ability in leadership and coordination; 4. Adhere to the work ethics of university teachers; Work with industriousness and devotedness; 5. Work full-time in the university during the contract; Shall start working full time in the position within a year after signing the contract; 6. A salary of 200 thousand RMB (pre-tax) per person each year. |
Chair Professor | 1. Work in positions of professor or other comparable positions in high-level universities; 2. Have outstanding and internationally recognized academic achievements; 3. Work with honesty, integrity and commitment; Adhere to rigorous study methods and scientific spirit; 4. Work in domestic university for more than 2 months each year; 5. A salary of 30 thousand RMB (pre-tax) per person each month, paid for actual work time. |
Requirements | 1. The project leader shall prioritize non-Chinese overseas experts, whose age shall be no more than 65 in principle, and who shall work in China for an accumulative total of no less than 1 month within a year after being recruited. The number of applicants for a team project shall not exceed 5 (with one postdoctoral fellow allowed), among whom more than two–thirds shall be below 65 years old; And the accumulative time of each team member working in China shall be no less than 2 months in principle. 2. Experts recruited shall be high-end talents urgently needed for scientific research, subject development and talent fostering in the fields of Education, Science, Culture and Health, and satisfy one of the following requirements: 1) scholars who work as professors or have equal titles or those under the age of 45 and work as associate professor or have equal titles in famous overseas universities or scientific research institutes; Have obtained a doctor’s degree overseas in principle; 2) Technical professionals who work in senior positions in world renowned institutions of education and technology, culture and arts, press and publication or sports and health; 3) Innovative talents who own independent intellectual property or master core technology; 4) Key members on teams which have been selected to participate “1000 talents Program”; 5) Other high-end foreign experts urgently needed by China. |
Grant & Benefits | The State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs will offer certain financial assistance for high-end foreign experts programs according to the level of the experts, their working time in China and their work content; Experts may receive certificates for foreign experts of high-end programs by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, and may enjoy favorable benefits in applying for a working visa in China; Experts with outstanding contributions will be given priority in applying for The “Friendship Award” and “1000 talents Program” organized by the Chinese government. |
Introduction Procedure
1.Applicants shall fill in the Application Form for DUFE High-level Talents and Applicant Information Form for DUFE High-level Talents, and submit them to ibc_hr@outlook.com with personal academic degrees and diplomas, professional tile certificates and other certification materials. Applicants for excellent overseas PhDs shall also submit a statement about their main research areas and progress.
2.IBC will organize an on-line interview first.
3.Then DUFE will organize the second on-line interview.
4.DUFE will organize a campus interview for trial lectures.
5.The Board of DUFE Leadership will appraise interview results.
6.Applicants who get the employment notice shall fill in the Approval Form for DUFE Academic Faculty recruitment first.
7.Applicants who get the employment notice shall pass the physical examination then.
8.New staff shall complete the induction procedure required by the DUFE HR Department.
